About the consultation

​​The green paper asks your views on issues relating to depositor protection, including aspects of the recently introduced Depositor Compensation Scheme (DCS). 

Issues include the funding of the recurring administration costs of the DCS and whether depositors’ claims should have priority over the claims of other creditors in a bank insolvency.

How to submit comments to the consultation

You can either:

  • provide comments to the Finance Industry Development Director
  • provide comments to the Technical Director at Jersey Finance, who are co-ordinating an industry response that will incorporate any matters raised by local firms or entities

Please note that it is the policy of Jersey Finance to make individual responses it receives available to the Economic Development Department upon request, unless a respondent specifically requests otherwise.
