Start date14/07/2011
End date02/12/2011
Type of consultationOther
Deadline for comments02/12/2011

About the consultation

The first phase of a public consultation about Jersey’s education system has been launched.

The consultation paper, 'Learning for Tomorrow’s World: The Future of Education in Jersey', aims to inform Islanders about the current system and also to find out what you think about its strengths and weaknesses. You can download a copy of the consultation paper below.

The paper looks at all aspects of the current system – from nursery education to adult learning – and asks you to comment over the next 3 months on what, if anything, you think should change in future.

Depending on the feedback we receive, the next step will be a series of green and white papers bringing forward proposals on specific issues.

Public meeting dates

You can come along to public meeting evenings in the autumn term to hear more about the consultation and ask questions.

Please note that numbers at the meetings are limited so anyone interested in attending should reserve a place by emailing or calling the ESC department. Extra dates will be added if necessary to meet demand.
