About the consultation

Each year the Employment Forum consults on the minimum wage and makes a recommendation to the Social Security Minister.

The minimum wage is currently £6.20 per hour and the trainee rate is £4.65 per hour.

We would like to hear your views on what rate the minimum wage should be set at from April 2011. We would particularly like to hear from employees who are paid the minimum wage, and businesses that employ staff at minimum wage.
