Jersey Children's Day

​Jersey Children’s Day 2026

Jersey Children’s Day will take place at Howard Davis Park on Sunday 12 July, from 10am to 5pm.

This is a free event for children, young people, carers and families.

The event includes:

  • live music on the main stage
  • free activities and entertainment
  • information, advice and support for families
  • food and drink will be available to buy at reduced prices

You can bring your own picnic if you prefer.

There will be a quiet hour from 10am to 11am. 

During this time:

  • no music will be played
  • the environment will be calmer for children and young people who prefer it

Who runs the event

Volunteers help run the event each year. 

They come from:

  • charities
  • community groups
  • businesses
  • the Government of Jersey

Around 8,000 Islanders attend each year.

About Children’s Day

Children’s Day takes place each year in early July. It marks the publication of the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry report​.

The day is a chance to:

  • reflect on the past
  • look ahead to a better future for children and young people

Our partners

Examples include:

  • free entry to Jersey Heritage sites and Jump Jersey
  • a water refill station from Jersey Water
  • activities from Jersey Youth Service, Jersey Youth Arts and Jersey Sport
  • police and fire service demonstrations and equipment
  • safety advice from NSPCC Jersey and Safeguarding Partnership Jersey
  • activities, fruit, toys and vouchers from Channel Islands Co-op

For our previous Children's Day events:

  • 2025: Around 8,000 people attended at Howard Davis Park
  • 2024: Nearly 10,000 people attended at Howard Davis Park
  • 2023: Around 8,000 people attended at Howard Davis Park
  • 2022: Around 6,000 people attended across Howard Davis Park and Millbrook Park (first public event after COVID-19)
  • 2021: States of Jersey Police shared a message about listening to children and supporting the day
  • 2020: Schools and nurseries received trees as part of the Tree of Renewal project
