Empty States of Jersey owned properties (FOI)

As this is the year of action what are you going to do with the properties you leave empty and virtually abandoned for example:-

La Folie, Royal Square building (Piquet House), Cyril Le Marquand House and the Le Seelleur Oxford Road Workshop.

And what's going to be done with the current Les Quennevais School once the new one is opened?

The Steam Clock - Repair it, sell it, scrap it or make it a floral feature but do not leave it to rust away as an eyesore and embarrassment for the tourist industry

No well run company would have such valuable assets on its balance sheet earning no revenue but just depreciating and not even being adequately maintained.

La Folie and the Steam Clock

The Government of Jersey are not responsible for either the La Folie or Steam Clock sites. These are owned by the Ports of Jersey who are not a Scheduled Public Authority and therefore not subject to the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.

Cyril Le Marquand House

Cyril Le Marquand House has been identified for disposal and is expected to progress to completion during the next two years. A public consultation has recently commenced following a draft planning guidance report issued by the Environment Minister John Young for the redevelopment and regeneration of the site. The property near Town Park: Le Seelleur Oxford Road Workshop, Oxford Road / Common Lane

This property was sold by the Public of the Island on 3 March 2017 to a private developer. All Royal Court property contracts are available to view at the Public Registry.

The Current Les Quennevais school site

Les Quennevais Secondary School is a site of strategic importance to the Island and careful consideration is being given to its future use when the school transfers to the new site. The public have had the opportunity to propose uses for the site during the ‘call for sites’ process that is part of the review of the current Island Plan. The final decision on the future use of the site will then be the subject of further public consultation and scrutiny.
