Request

In addition to request Driving Examiners (FOI)

I wanted to know how many of that five have attended and passed a training course obtaining a qualification?

Not just nominated by the Inspector of Motor Traffic

What categories their qualifications are for? Not just nominated to do.

How often have their qualifications been assessed over the last ten years?

Response

All driving examiners are appointed under Article 8(6) of the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956 and attend UK training courses in line with the Driver Vehicle Standards Agency (UK) and/or Driver and Vehicle Agency, Northern Ireland.

Driving examiners have been assessed on three occasions over the past 10 years.

In order to protect the identity of individuals, disclosure control has been applied to the remainder of this response as staff numbers are only five. Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has therefore been applied and no further information relating to these individuals will be released.

Article applied

Article 25 - Personal information

(b) its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that Law.
