About the survey
The Jersey average earnings survey has been running for more than 20 years. Each year over 400 businesses are selected to take part in the survey to provide information on salaries paid to staff.
The information is used to produce the Index of Average Earnings which measures annual changes in earnings (gross wages and salaries, excluding bonuses) paid to workers. It is an important economic indicator and is used to uprate pensions and social security benefits.
