Summary

​This report is the second in a series of historic building studies commissioned by Jersey Heritage, in partnership with the Planning and Environment Department, aimed at deepening our understanding of the character of Jersey’s historic environment, and contributing towards its future care and protection.

Jeremy Lake and Bob Edwards have acknowledged expertise and experience in understanding the character and value of farmsteads and have produced a thorough examination of the subject. The report is a great step forward in our understanding of the historic farmsteads and landscape of Jersey and has opened up new avenues of thought.
