The purpose of the meeting was to enable the Inspector to discuss the conduct of the forthcoming Inquiry with the principal parties. The Meeting discussed the format of the Inquiry, the main issues to be explored and the programme of evidence submissions and participants. Its aim was to ensure that the Inquiry was streamlined, well organised and efficient. The meeting was purely procedural and the merits of the case were not discussed ie it was not a forum for the making of submissions, either for or against the proposal.
