Register as a pharmacy technician
You must be registered under Jersey law to work as a pharmacy technician in Jersey. It’s against the law to work as a pharmacy technician if you’re not registered.
To register, you must also be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacy technician.
To apply for registration you must:
- complete the application form below and send it to the Chief Pharmacist at Jersey General Hospital
- apply to the GPhC for a Certificate of Current Professional Status (CCPS)
- send this certificate to the Chief Pharmacist

Renew your registration
You must renew your registration as a pharmacy technician every year. You'll receive an email to initiate this process, together with a renewal form, in early January each year.
If you don’t renew, you’re removed from the register and can’t continue working as a pharmacist in Jersey.

To work as a pharmacist in Jersey you must be registered under Jersey law.
You can check if somebody is registered on the Pharmacist Public Register.
If you think somebody is working as a pharmacist and you can’t find their name on the register, contact the Chief Pharmacist
