Reporting a suspected notifiable disease

If you suspect an animal has a notifiable disease it is a legal requirement that you inform the States Veterinary Officer.

It is very important to do this as these diseases may be passed between animals and people, or they may have a significant economic impact.

If your animal is unwell but you don't suspect a notifiable disease, you should contact your private veterinary surgeon.
