A risk assessment has found that, while overall, Jersey's non-profit sector presents medium to low risk of being abused or misused for terrorist financing, around 11% have a heightened risk and greater vulnerability.
In order to protect NPOs from terrorist exploitation and to preserve the integrity of the sector and the trust of our donor community, changes are being made to Jersey’s NPO regime.
These changes are effective from 1 January 2023.
The will affect a very limited number of NPOs, and further information on the action they will need to take will be given by Jersey Financial Services Commission early in 2023.
More information about these changes and how they might affect you will be published on the JFSC website.
A link to the relevant page on the JFSC website will be added in January 2023.
