Chains, ropes and lifting gear regulations

​This guide applies to all workplaces or working activities where chains, ropes or lifting gear are used to lift, lower or suspend a load.

The requirements set out in the guide include the testing and examination of chains, ropes and lifting gear, marking of safe working loads and means of identification.
