About the International Cultural Centre (ICC)
The ICC is a free service offering confidential support and guidance for people arriving and living in Jersey.
It’s linked with Connect Me: activities and services in community venues, a programme connecting you with local social groups and community activities to help you build friendships and feel at home in Jersey.
What we offer
We provide free and confidential support around a range of areas including:
Work
To help direct you to the right organisations to understand employment rights, workplace concerns, and fair treatment at work.
Housing
To support with finding accommodation, understanding tenancy agreements, and resolving housing issues.
Health
To provide information on accessing healthcare, mental health support, and navigating Jersey’s health system.
Immigration
References and links to support for residency permits and understanding immigration laws.
Charitable Sector Partners
Collaborations with trusted charitable organisations and agencies to ensure you receive the best possible support. Together, we work to meet your needs holistically.
Access to Case Workers
Where dedicated case workers help with exploring options and find practical solutions to your issues.
Support for your rights and wellbeing to help with understanding your rights with living and working in Jersey. Links to organisations to protect your wellbeing and resolve disputes or concerns that may arise in your daily life.
Confidential and personalised service
The ICC is a confidential service, making sure your privacy is always protected. The team are flexible and can meet in locations that are convenient and comfortable for you.
Once you contact the ICC, you will be offered an initial meeting where a member of the team will meet you to understand the support or signpost you to the services you may need. We'll work with you to look at solutions.
You may be offered a follow-up appointment to ensure they understand your needs and start to plan how to improve your situation.
You will kept informed of any developments related to the challenges that you have identified and look for positive resolutions. Your situation will be monitored with follow-up contact, to make sure the issues you have raised have been addressed.
The ICC are proactive in the community and host regular drop-in sessions across the Island to enable an informal conversation about issues you are concerned about.
