Swedish Ambassador to visit Jersey

The Swedish Ambassador to the UK, Her Excellency Ms Nicola Clase, will visit Jersey on Friday 14 September 2012. She will meet Assistant Chief Minister, Senator Sir Philip Bailhache, and Treasury and Resources Minister, Senator Philip Ozouf.

During her visit, the Ambassador will attend a meeting with the Lieutenant-Governor and a lunch hosted by the Deputy Bailiff. She will also visit the Jersey Museum to view the ‘1781 Battle of Jersey and the Death of Major Peirson’ exhibition, and will receive a presentation from representatives of the finance industry.

Senator Bailhache commented “The Chief Minister and I called on the Ambassador at the Swedish Embassy in London earlier this year and I look forward to continuing the friendly and productive tone of that meeting.

"Sweden is an important EU Member State and I am pleased to have this opportunity to welcome Her Excellency to the Island.”

The Ambassador will be accompanied by the Swedish Honorary Consul, Mr Michael Powell.
