Latvian Ambassador to visit Jersey

The Latvian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, His Excellency Eduards Stiprais, will visit Jersey on 18 and 19 March 2013.

During his two-day visit the Ambassador will meet the Chief Minister, Senator Ian Gorst, the Assistant Chief Minister, Senator Sir Philip Bailhache, and the Chief Executive of the States of Jersey, John Richardson. He will also be meeting His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor, and the Bailiff.

Subjects under discussion will include Jersey’s relationships with Latvia and the European Union, with particular focus on Jersey’s financial services industry. 

The programme for the Ambassador’s visit will also include presentations from the Economic Development Department, Jersey Financial Services Commission and Jersey Finance Limited.

The Ambassador will be visiting the Jersey Museum to see the Battle of Jersey exhibition, and the Occupation Tapestry Gallery at the Maritime Museum.
