Public feedback on Sand Street parking trial

29 July 2013

Transport and Technical Services (TTS) want to find out what the public think about the trial payment system that has been in operation in Sand Street car park for the last eight months.

TTS staff will be out in the car park throughout this week getting feedback from customers to help them find out how comfortable people are with the system now that they have had a chance to get used to it.

There will also be an opportunity for people to give their opinions in an online survey which can be accessed on the States website until 16 August.

This public opinion will help the Minister to decide if the trial has gone well and whether this sort of electronic payment system should be used in other town car parks in the future.

Deputy Kevin Lewis, Minister for Transport and Technical Services, said “The trial is due to run for a year but I need to decide now on the merits of the system, so that we have something in place for when the trial ends.”
