Mount Bingham will open as normal from Thursday 12 December.
The contractor, Geomarine Ltd, working on behalf of the Parish of St Helier, has worked very hard and its Rope Access Team has been able to stabilise and make the rock face safe sooner than expected.
Mount Bingham has been closed to traffic since September when the rock face was found to be in urgent need of stabilisation work following routine inspection and maintenance work. In the interest of public safety, Mount Bingham was closed to all traffic and pedestrians. All parties worked together to get the work completed as soon as possible.
The Minister for Transport and Technical Services, Deputy Kevin Lewis, said “I am delighted to see Mount Bingham open again and the congestion issues of the last three months will now be over.”
