Langtry Gardens pedestrian island consultation

25 March 2014

Islanders are being asked whether a pedestrian island should be placed on St Saviour’s Hill, west of the entrances to Langtry Gardens, Jersey Cricket Club and St Saviour’s Bowling Club.

Transport and Technical Services is proposing the change to make it easier and safer for pedestrians to cross the road. The road on both sides of the entrance to the cricket and bowling clubs will also be widened if the pedestrian island is installed.

A new 1.8m wide footway will also be added from the beginning of the verge from Langley Avenue up to the main entrance to Grainville Playing Fields on the eastbound side of the road.

Anyone wishing to comment on the proposals should contact the Department by email or in writing addressed to Transport Policy – Langtry Gardens Pedestrian Crossing by Friday 18 April.
