Islanders who have made a confirmed booking for a wedding or civil partnership ceremony at the Register Office, 10 Royal Square, in 2014 are being asked to reconfirm their booking if they have not already been contacted by the Superintendent Registrar.
The Office of the Superintendent Registrar has been contacting Islanders with bookings to confirm the details following an internal data error. Of those contacted the vast majority have already done this.
Anyone who lives in Jersey and has booked a wedding or civil partnership ceremony at the Register Office in 2014 but hasn’t been contacted by the Office of the Superintendent Registrar to reconfirm the details of their appointment, should contact the Superintendent Registrar, ideally by email (the email address is on the marriage appointment slip issued by the Office when the booking was made).
The Superintendent Registrar Sue Groves said “This call is a final check to make completely certain that we have all the correct details for ceremony bookings for Islanders at the Royal Square office. We only need to hear from people who are resident in Jersey, have a booking but have not yet reconfirmed the details with us. If you haven’t heard from us and you have a completed marriage appointment form, please get in touch.”
Couples who do not live in Jersey or have booked a civil marriage or partnership which is taking place at a different venue do not need to reconfirm.
