Sewer Extension on Longueville Road

The Department for Infrastructure is advising drivers to take an alternative route, if possible next week, to avoid the roadworks on Longueville Road, adjacent to Longueville Manor.

The department is currently undertaking the installation of an extension to the foul sewer network in Longueville Road. On Monday 18 January 2016 the open trench nears the junctions with La Rue des Pres and La Rue St Thomas, which is a more difficult phase with regard to traffic management.

Portable traffic lights are in operation. There are likely to be increased delays for the traffic entering Longueville Road from both Rue des Pres and Rue St Thomas, this will be especially so during peak traffic flow.

The project is currently ahead of schedule and is expected to be completed on Friday 22 January 2016.  This work is being carried out now as the hotel is presently closed.
