Two sirens at La Collette this Monday

02 September 2016

The alarm sirens at La Collette will have two test soundings on Monday 5 September rather than the usual one.

The sirens at La Collette are regularly tested  on the first Monday of every month at 10am to make sure they are working properly.

However, on this occasion an extra test will be done at 10.30am. Both of these soundings are for siren testing purposes only and there will be no evacuation of the site.

The sirens are used in the event of an emergency to warn the businesses and activities sited at La Collette that they need to leave the area according to the evacuation plan which is in place.
