Comment on St Saviour's safer routes to schools

17 January 2018

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) and the Parish are holding a drop-in session on Wednesday 24 January for people to find out more about options to improve the pedestrian routes to Grainville, FCJ and St Saviour’s primary schools.

Members of the public are invited to the drop-in session at St Saviour’s primary school from 4.45pm to 6.30pm on Wednesday 24 January.

Details of the options will be available for viewing and officers will be on hand to answer questions and listen to comments.

The Parish of St Saviour and DfI have worked together to develop options to make the route safer and to encourage greater active travel which, in turn, helps reduce traffic congestion and contribute to improved student health.

Four options for Chasse Brunet are being put forward:

  • option 1  – virtual footway, two-way traffic and no parking
  • option 2 – virtual footway, one way traffic northbound, some parking
  • option 3 – virtual footway, one way traffic southbound, some parking
  • option 4 – divide the road into two culs de sac

Information is also available on St Saviour's safer routes to school

Comments can either be made at the drop-in event or in writing to the Department for Infrastructure by 7 February 2018.
