Customs Drug Seizure

11 September 2019

Jersey Customs and Immigration officers have seized approximately 10 kg of drugs concealed in the fuel tank of a vehicle, which arrived in Jersey on the Condor Liberation from Poole on Saturday 7 September 2019.

Alexander Daniel Cullen from Liverpool, who is 29 years old, has been charged with importing the drugs and is due to appear before the Magistrate’s Court this morning.

Initial tests show the drugs to be heroin, but officers are still awaiting full analysis of whole the consignment.  If confirmed, the haul could have a street value in Jersey of up to £10 million.
