Social Security Assistant Minister appointed

Scott Wickenden

Deputy Scott Wickenden has been appointed Assistant Minister for Social Security. 

The Social Security Minister, Deputy Judy Martin, made the appointment, which was approved by the Chief Minister.

Deputy Martin said: “I’m delighted to welcome Deputy Wickenden to the Social Security ministerial team. I worked with him on the Public Accounts Committee in 2016 and 2017 and I know he will be a great addition to the team.”

Deputy Wickenden worked in technology services for 15 years before being elected to the States. He said: “I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute to this important area of government, and I am looking forward to working alongside Deputy Martin and Deputy Maçon to deliver community, frontline services for islanders.”
