Help for university costs

30 January 2019

Students and their parents or guardians are being invited to attend information sessions about the financial help that is available for studying at university.

The free presentations and drop-in events, aimed at students who are considering applying to university in September 2019 or 2020, be it on or off-island, will also outline the process to apply for funding, and answer any questions or concerns.

Run by Student Finance, the presentations are on Tuesday 5 and 12 February from 6-7pm at Bermuda House, Green Street, and the drop-in sessions are on Thursday 7 and 14 February between 12pm and 1.30pm at YES (Youth Enquiry Service), Colomberie.

Student Finance officer Nerina Poole said: “This is an opportunity for students and parents to be given up-to-date and correct information on student finance and also the chance to ask specific questions.”

There is no need to register for the drop-in sessions but places at the presentations, which are free, can be secured through Eventbrite. The first presentation evening on Tuesday 5 February can be booked at studentfinance5feb.eventbrite.co.uk, and the second presentation can be booked at studentfinance12feb.eventbrite.co.uk.
