Making more homes affordable

The publication of this supplementary planning guidance gives effect to Policy H6: Making more homes affordable and is designed to assist with its interpretation and application.

The purpose of this note is to:

  • provide guidance about the type and nature of affordable housing products which might be provided under the terms of this policy; and
  • set out how the policy might operate in practice

It is aimed at those involved in the planning and design of development proposals involving the creation of 50 or more new dwellings; and it will assist decision-makers in the determination of planning applications for this form of development where it will be a material consideration.
