​​The 2001 Jersey Census took place on 11 March 2001. Jersey's most recent Census took place in March 2021, with results published during 2022.

Each census provides a detailed 'snap shot' picture of the population. As well as providing a detailed demographic picture of the Island it covers issues such as:

• household structure
• tenure
• eth​nicity
• employment​
• educational and professional qualifications

Other topics covered in the 2001 census included:

• household facilities (eg cooking, bathroom)
• computers per household and internet access
• languages spoken
• vehicles
• vehicle parking
• travel to work
