Changes for requests to update client, company or entity
We have changed the way we deal with requests to update a client, company, or entity to show a tax agent or registered trust company business has authority to act on their behalf.
Requirements for a change
We still require a letter of authority from the company for the tax agent or trust company business to act, however we also require the tax agent or trust company business to:
- disclose the name and position of the individual acting on behalf of the company who has engaged you as agents
- confirm you have documentary evidence that the company signatory has authority to direct the affairs of the company
A change of address can be emailed to us via PDF and the original posted.
It can take up to 10 days for a new TOOS account application to be approved by Revenue Jersey which includes sending the activation PIN in the post. If you need to request the service for a new tax client, please make sure these are made in good time.
Late tax returns caused by last minute registrations is not a reason for us to remove a late filing penalty.
