Changes for requests to update client / company / entity
We have changed the way we deal with requests to update a client / company / entity to show a tax agent or registered trust company business has authority to act on their behalf.
Requirements for a change
We still require a letter of authority from the company for the tax agent / trust company business to act, however we also require the tax agent / trust company business to:
- disclose the name and position of the individual acting on behalf of the company who has engaged them as agents
- confirm that they have documentary evidence that the company signatory has authority to direct the affairs of the company
We still require the above if the request has been received by a separate legal entity with the same address as the registered office provider.
