If you’re an employer in Jersey and you need free support to fill a vacancy, contact Back to Work Recruitment. We match locally qualified job seekers to your needs in a way that suits you.

What we can help with

Back to Work Recruitment are similar to a regular recruitment agency but instead offer all services free of charge.

We provide the following services:

  • candidate search and selection 
  • job trials, training and work placements for candidates
  • job match events
  • shortlisting, interviewin​g and feedback
  • tailored industry or company-specific recruitment campaigns
  • financial incentives to support training needs

How it works

Our recruitment officers work with you to fulfil your recruitment needs.

We can help you to fill one vacancy or we can help you to fill many vacancies within your company. Tell us how to help you and we will do all we can to meet your requirements.

We'll send you suitable CVs within 48 hours of receiving a vacancy. We will only send you candidates who have met one of our recruitment officers and who are 'Entitled for Work' or 'Entitled'.

We have a range of incentives available to employers when filling a vacant permanent position with a job seeker who is registered as seeking work with Back to Work.

Work placements

Our employment schemes, Advance to Work (for 16 to 24 year olds) and Advance Plus (for people of any age) have candidates looking to gain experience in industry through a work placement.

As an employer the benefits of offering a placement include:

  • the opportunity to ‘trial’ a possible future employee without the costs of advertising and recruitment
  • additional help and support for your business
  • the chance to give something back to the community and help the local employment market
  • the provision of invaluable skills and work experience to a placement candidate

Although no employer is obliged to offer a job, many candidates are offered employment directly from their placement.

Your Back to Work recruitment officer will tell you which scheme will best suit your needs.
