Statement of significance
A very important survival of an early water mill in Jersey. The building has evolved over many centuries, with elements surviving from various phases of its history, including some mill machinery and the remains of an early fireplace. It is in the most scenic location of all the island's extant mills.

External Description
Mill house, 2 storey, 3 bay with 2 storey, 1 bay extension abutting to west. Mill house: Front (north) elevation: slate roof with brick chimneys. Random stone construction with a mix of stone/brick openings. North wall has irregular windows with plain reveals, and evidence of blocked openings. All windows are timber replacements. Towards the right on the ground floor is a small window with chamfered surround. A stone-built porch covers the entrance. A number of external features relating to milling are to be seen, including steps leading to the mill leat system, made from the stone grinding-wheels and the stone leat segments still in situ. The mill wheel also survives. Modern wing to west of no interest.
Internal Description
Interior features visible are parts of the mill machinery - drive mechanism connected to the water-wheel on the east gable - and the remains of a circa 1600s fireplace on the west gable. Early oak beams.
