An Assembly of the Principals and Electors of the Parish of St Helier will be held at 7pm on Wednesday 28 May 2025 at the Town Hall.

Parishioners are asked to take into consideration and, if deemed advisable:

  • to approve the Minutes of the Parish Assembly held on 30 April 2025
  • to recommend to the Licensing Assembly the following applications for licences for the year 2025 in virtue of the Licensing (Jersey) Law 1974:

  • to consider an application for a Bailiff’s Entertainment Permit (P49) by  Bond Hotel Limited, in respect of premises known as The Kings Bar, 14 Bond Street, who already hold a 1st category licence and who are applying for a 7th category licence.  The application is  for entertainment which would be a duo or trio, piano and/or guitar.  This type of entertainment would be held on Fridays and Saturdays.
  • to consider an application by The Pavillion Restaurant Limited, current holder of 1st  and 3rd category licences,  for The Pavillion, Liberation Place, The Esplanade; to extend the sale of alcohol for their 3rd Category Restaurant Licence to Monday to Saturday  (inclusive) between 9am to midnight; and Sunday, Good Friday and Christmas Day between 11am and midnight
  • to consider an application for a Bailiff’s Entertainment Permit (P49) by The Pavillion Restaurant Limited, in respect of premises known as The Pavillion, Liberation Place, The Esplanade, who hold 1st and 3rd category licences.  The application is for events which take place inside the premises from Monday to Saturday, 5pm to 1am, and there shall be no more than 3 occasions a month with music or activities which are covered by the permit . The entertainment will take the form of a DJ or small band
  • to consider an application by A De Gruchy & Co Limited, in respect of premises known as A De Gruchy & Co, 50-52 King Street, holder of a 6th category licence . The application is to amend the conditions of the current licence, stating alcohol will only be sold in gift packs  between 1st October and 28th February, to alcohol can be sold as separate items on a year-round basis​​
