16 May 2025​Changes to Traffic Arrangements on La Rue de L’Eglise and La Route du Nord​​
The Assistant Minister for Infrastructure, in pursuance of Article 68 of the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956, as amended, and after consultation with the Connétable of St John, gives notice of the following introduction and removal of Prohibition of Waiting on La Rue de L’Eglise and La Route du Nord.​
These changes will take effect from Friday 23 May 2025.
Road Traffic (St. John) (Jersey) Order 1982
Amend the schedule of the order:
Schedule 2, Part 1, Prohibition of Waiting
- in Column 2 after La Route du Nord remove “East side (from a point 15 yards south of its junction with La Rue de L’Église to a point 5 yards further north)”
- in Column 2 after La Route du Nord insert “East side (from its junction with La Rue de L’Eglise to a point 41 yards further north)”
- insert an entry in Column 1, after La Rue des Landes with “La Rue de L’Église” and add the entry in Column 2 “Both sides (from its junction with La Route du Nord for a distance of 17 yards in an easterly direction”
Schedule 2, Part 2, Prohibition of Waiting – Further Restrictions
- ​in Column 2 after La Route du Nord substitute “East side (from a point 10 yards north of its junction with St. John’s Precinct to a point 15 yards south of its junction with La Rue de L’Eglise) – 20 minutes in any one hour.” With “East side (from a point 10 yards north of its junction with St. John’s Precinct to a point 32 yards further north) – 20 minutes in any one hour.”​
