The Government of Jersey has published updated guidance on the Russia Sanctions Regime as implemented under Jersey's Sanctions Legislation.

The update reflects changes made by the Sanctions and Asset-Freezing (Implementation of External Sanctions) (Russia – Amendment No. 9) (Jersey) Order 2022, which implemented the UK Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) (Amendment) (No 12) Regulations 2022, and came into force on the 19th of July.

The guidance has a new section on investments in Russia on pages 5 to 6.

The UK Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 are implemented in Jersey under the Sanctions and Asset-Freezing (Jersey) Law 2019 and the Sanctions and Asset-Freezing (Implementation of External Sanctions) (Jersey) Order 2021.

Additional guidance on sanctions can be found on both the Government of Jersey and Jersey Financial Services Commission websites. The JFSC publishes regime specific guidance, including for the Russia regime.

If you have any questions about this notice or new guidance, please contact sanctions@gov.je.
