Response

CAMHS / MASH

The tables below show the number of referrals made to the Child, Adolescence, Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and the number of contacts made to the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).

The data has been broken down by year groups, using the young person’s date of birth. We are unable to identify the relevant school as this would require extracting the information from each referral or contact document and would take in excess of the 12.5 hours allowed for Freedom of Information responses.

This data includes all young people within this age range and may include young people that are no longer in education or those attending private schools. The data for MASH represents the number of contacts received rather than the number of young people. Some young people may have been the subject of multiple contacts.

Please note that there was an increase in MASH contacts across the three years, and this increase was seen across all age ranges due to the increasing number of referrals to Children’s Social Work.

Educational Psychology Service / Wellbeing service

The tables below provides the data for various services. Please note that we are not able to provide the breakdown by school and by year group as in all cases it would require searching through each referral document or young person’s file to extract the information which would take in excess of 12.5 hours allowed for Freedom of Information responses.

Please note that the figures below are representative of direct involvement with young people, however, these services also provide school support, group work, training, project work and consultation. The Educational Psychology Service supports pupils with a wide range needs, often interacting needs. Article 16 A scheduled public authority may refuse to supply information if cost excessive

(1) A scheduled public authority that has been requested to supply information may refuse to supply the information if it estimates that the cost of doing so would exceed an amount determined in the manner prescribed by Regulations.

Regulation 2 (1) of the Freedom of Information (Costs) (Jersey) Regulations 2014 allows an authority to refuse a request for information where the estimated cost of dealing with the request would exceed the specified amount of the cost limit of £500. This is the estimated cost of one person spending 12.5 working hours in determining whether the department holds the information, locating, retrieving and extracting the information.
