Travel for earners over £100k (FOI)Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by Government of Jersey and published on 15 April 2020.
Prepared internally, no external costs.
Please note for the purposes of this Freedom of Information request, when I refer to ‘essential workers’ I mean workers who are not, and will not, be required by Government of Jersey (GOJ to self isolate per GOJ coronavirus travel advice.
I also am only referring to the above cohort who earn above £100k per annum, (or equivalent).
Can you please confirm how many of the above defined cohort of essential workers who regularly (ie twice or more in any four week period), leave the Island for any time from Thursday pm, returning to work in Jersey on or before the following Monday?
Can you also please confirm how many of the above cohorts flights are funded by GOJ either via individual contracts, or direct reimbursement?
A and B
This request is answered as at 9 April 2020. To the best of our knowledge no ‘essential workers’, paid above £100k p.a. or equivalent, are regularly travelling (ie twice or more in any four-week period) back to the UK at the weekends.
Please note no centralised list of roles travelling and amount paid is maintained, to check this against. Please find the latest travel guidance at the following link:
