Income Support rates (FOI)

Income Support rates (FOI)

Request

For each year since 2016 how much would a jobseeker receive (per week)?

Response

Income Support is a means tested benefit which is made up of several components which are awarded based on individual and household circumstances, therefore every income support claim will be unique to an individual or household. Within income support there is not a component that is based solely on a person being unemployed.

Please see the links below for an explanation of how an income support claim is made up and the component rates for 2022 and a link to a previous Freedom of Information request which details all income support component rates since 2014. As the information requested is partially accessible by other means, Article 23 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.
