Parking in St Helier (FOI)

Parking in St Helier (FOI)

Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by Government of Jersey and published on 28 March 2022.
Prepared internally, no external costs.

I would like a complete spreadsheet of all parking in St Helier; including:

  • public parking
  • parking at States owned sites but not available to the public eg parking at La Collette leased out
  • parking at JDC, POJ & Andium etc.
  • residential parking scheme parking
  • Commuter private parking eg underground spaces under workplaces

I would also like the number of properties with no parking.

Further, please send any policy documents that may illuminate this information.

Government of Jersey Staff Parking

Information regarding staff parking was provided in a Freedom of Information response in 2019. Some of this information is still current therefore Article 23 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 partially applies.

Parking spaces provided for staff (FOI)

The attached spreadsheet provides any known updates regarding staff parking since December 2019 since details of staff parking has not been maintained at all Government of Jersey sites.

 Staff Parking (excel spreadsheet)

The Government of Jersey has a fleet of pool vehicles which are allocated to various sites and teams for shared use by their staff.  The spreadsheet details any spaces allocated for pool vehicles, where records are maintained.  As a result, some of this information is not held and Article 10 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

The following items should be noted:

  • the staff parking spreadsheet includes both sites owned and rented by the Government of Jersey
  • this request is slightly different to the question asked in 2019, which requested that pool car information be excluded, therefore, the updated figures may reflect this

Lease of publicly owned parking spaces

The following table details parking areas which are currently leased to external parties by Government of Jersey.
