Schools GCSE results (FOI)

Schools GCSE results (FOI)

Produced by the Fostering and adoption
Authored by Government of Jersey and published on 25 May 2023.
Prepared internally, no external costs.

Request

Please  provide a breakdown of GCSE results by grade - what percentage of students get grades of 9, 8, 7, and so on and subject for Les Quennevais, Hautlieu and Victoria College. Please provide the GCSE results split by school and grade for school year ending in 2022.

Response

The attached breakdown is based on GCSE’s and equivalents from data as supplied by the schools. The Department have determined that to provide the figures fewer than 5 would likely breach the privacy of individuals therefore disclosure control has been applied under Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) 2011 Law.

Please note:

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the summer exam series were cancelled in both 2020 and 2021 and alternative processes were set up to award grades. The U.K.’s Department of Education and Ofqual agreed adaptations to the 2022 examinations as a response to the impact of Covid, therefore comparisons between academic years will not be valid.

These Jersey results include IGCSE. Some schools have indicated these separately within their table of results and some are included in the totals.
