I would like to submit a freedom of information request about assaults in schools.

Please could you tell me:

A
The number of incidents of assaults on teachers by pupils for the 2013, 2014 and 2015 as well as the number of assaults up until 31 March 2016. For each incident please include:

  • the age and sex of the pupil
  • the nature of the assault: was a weapon used/was it a punch to the face etc
  • what treatment if any was needed
  • what action was taken

Exemptions

Article 25 - Personal information
(1)     Information is absolutely exempt information if it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005.
(2)     Information is absolutely exempt information if –
(a)     it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is not the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005; and
(b)     its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that Law.
