Job Station and services you can access
Job Station is a free service if you’re registered as a jobseeker.
You don’t need to make an appointment but you need to sign in on arrival.
At Job Station we can give you:
- access to computers, internet, phone and postage
- expert help with job searching
- help with job applications and interview preparation
- support with applying for Government of Jersey jobs
- support with writing your CV and cover letter, including daily CV workshops
- information on online skills testing and training
You can come and access those services on your own or talk to one of our Employment Advisors who will be there to support.
We are open 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and are located on the first floor of the Customer Hub at Union Street.
Job Club and support offered
Job Club runs sessions for registered jobseeker on specific skills.
You need to book an appointment with your Employment Advisor to attend. Talk to your advisor if you feel a session at Job Club may help you.
Sessions at Job Club include:
- updating your CV
- covering gaps in your CV
- cover letters
- job applications
- phone skills or marketing calls
- using social media in your job search
- finding the right job for you
We are located at the Customer Hub at Union Street. Your advisor will tell you the time of your session.
Industry training for jobseekers
Industry training is a blend of classroom training and on site work experience provided by Back to Work to give you a head start in particular industries.
You need to be registered as a jobseeker to access this service.
