About the consultation
An area of Millbrook playing fields has been gifted to the people of Jersey to become part of Coronation Park. This will be a wonderful new open space that will be designed for children and families to enjoy.
Before any work starts on the field, we are asking for your views and ideas, which can be submitted through 2 surveys.
We are also inviting children and young people to share their ideas by drawing or describing their favourite things to do outside and an online survey is available for adults.
Designing the new part of Coronation Park is restricted by a covenant (a formal agreement that includes conditions) to protect the views across the land. These include:
- no buildings or structures can be built on the land
- nothing can be planted or grown that affects the view across the land, this means nothing above approximately 20 feet or 6 metres
- the land shall always be used as an extension of and as part of the existing Coronation Park
- no activities leading to:
- excessive noise
- smoke
- smell
- other source of nuisance
- no organised sports
- no vehicles or car parking
We will look at all of your ideas and they will inform the design.
The information we collect is gathered, stored and used in accordance with our privacy policy:
Infrastructure, Housing and Environment privacy policy
Do not include any personal information in your responses. Redacted responses may be published.
How to submit comments to the consultation
Surveys
The two surveys are open to everyone. They each take approximately 5 to 10 minutes, and we would encourage you to complete both. We welcome individual and group/family responses.

We are also interested in your thoughts about travel to and from Coronation Park.

Let's play outside for children and young people
Children and young people are invited to share their ideas with us. Print our ideas sheet and tell us about your favourite things to do outside.
Do not include any names on the ideas sheet. We do ask you to tell us the age group of the child or children taking part so we know the age of children interested in the Park.
Scan or take a photograph of the completed ideas sheet and email dfi@gov.je.
Send your response from an adult's email address. The email address will not be saved and we will not use it to contact you.
Alternatively, it can be sent to us by post at Coronation Park Ideas, PO Box 412, St Helier, JE4 8UY.
To help schools, families or youth facing groups talk about this together, a discussion pack is available for download.
