The Department for External Relations and Financial Services is responsible for:

• conducting Jersey's external relations in accordance with the aims of the Minister for External Relations, the Chief Minister, and the common policy of the Council of Ministers
• supporting Jersey’s financial and professional services sectors through the development of policy and legislation. These provide the right conditions for economic wellbeing and long-term sustainability. This benefits all Islanders while maintaining Jersey’s reputation as an international finance centre of choice
