COVID Status Certification
COVID Status Certification (CSC) is the process so you can prove you have:
- completed a COVID-19 vaccination course
- are recently recovered from a previous infection with COVID-19
- had a recent negative COVID-19 test from a private provider
This proof can be used national and internationally to participate in domestic or border COVID Status Certificate schemes.
The Government of Jersey works closely with the UK Government and other international partners to make sure that the evidence provided in Jersey is internationally accepted. QR Codes are produced in accordance with the EU DCC specifications.
Who can get a certificate
You can get your COVID vaccination certificate showing your vaccination status if the Government of Jersey holds a COVID-19 vaccination record for you, either because:
- all doses of the vaccine were delivered in Jersey
- you have submitted and had approved evidence of a COVID-19 vaccine given to you in another country using the coronavirus vaccination evidence submission form
You can get your COVID Status Certificate in a digital format.
You can request a secure paper version of your vaccination certificate by calling the COVID helpline. The Government of Jersey is no longer automatically issuing certificates by post if you have been vaccinated.
Digital certificates
covidsafe.gov.je
Once you have logged into covidsafe.gov.je, the screen will display a single QR code for your latest vaccine. Dose information will also be on the certificate for previous doses.
The QR codes are valid for a maximum of 180 days. Each time you login a new QR code is generated.
Apple or Google wallet
If you're generating your vaccination certificate using covidsafe.gov.je you also have the option to add a version of your vaccination certificate to your Apple or Google Wallet.
Certificates generated in your Google or Apple wallet have an extended expiry of 180 days.
PDF version
The PDF will display a single QR code for your latest vaccine. Dose information will also be on the certificate for previous doses.
The QR codes are valid for a maximum of 180 days. Each time you login or are sent a new PDF certificate a new QR code is generated.
Paper certificate
You can request a secure paper version of your vaccination certificate by calling the COVID helpline. The Government of Jersey is no longer automatically issuing certificates by post if you have been vaccinated.
The design of the certificate has been updated to align with digital certificates available on covidsafe.gov.je. It contains information on up to 5 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. It also contains a QR code that expires after 180 days.
The previous design of the secure paper vaccination certificate has been withdrawn but is still recognised and accepted for travel.
This secure paper certificate should only be requested when travelling to countries not within the EU-DCC scheme and who require a vaccination certificate for travel. For the most up to date information on entry requirements and restrictions check the GOV.UK foreign travel advice pages.
Check your address
Your COVID Status Certificate will be sent to your registered address. Make sure your address is correct by either:
Single dose letters
If you haven't completed a full primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine yet, but have received one dose of the vaccine, you can call the Coronavirus helpline to request a secure paper single dose letter to be sent to your registered address.
If you've received a dose of the vaccine outside Jersey
If you have received a COVID-19 vaccination outside Jersey you can complete a form online and upload your proof of vaccination from that country to your Jersey vaccination record.
Upload proof of vaccination dose from another country
To use this service you must:
- be resident in Jersey
- have evidence showing you received a dose of a World Health Organisation approved COVID-19 vaccine in another country
There are three types of acceptable evidence:
- a Government or Health Authority issued vaccination
- a Government or Health Authority app showing vaccination status
- a GP record showing vaccination status
Applications will be reviewed by the vaccination team to ensure it meets the eligibility criteria. If approved, your vaccination record will be updated and you will be able to view your Vaccination Status as part of your digital Covid Status Certificate on one.gov.je.
If your vaccination record now shows you have completed a full course of an MHRA approved COVID-19 vaccine, a secure paper Covid Status Certificate will be automatically sent to your registered address.
This process may take up to 2 weeks to complete from the point of application submission.
Travelling
