06 December 2024An Assembly of the Principals and Electors of the Parish of Trinity will be held in the Parish Hall on Thursday 12 December 2024 at 7pm for the following business:
- in accordance with Article 32 of the Rates (Jersey) Law 2005 to elect two members of the Assessment Committee to serve for 3 years from 1 January 2025
- to consider authorising the Connétable and Procureurs, on behalf of the Parish, to enter into two transactions (“the transactions”) to formalise the road widening which has taken place along part of La Rue de Haut de L’Orme and at the junction of the Parish road, La Rue de Haut de L’Orme, and the States road, La Grande Route de St Jean in accordance with Planning permit reference P2019/105. The transactions are as follows:
- that the Parish acquire a strip of land from Field T1381, which land now forms part of the Parish road known as La Rue de Haut de L’Orme
- that the Parish transfer to the Public of the Island, by Act of the Royal Court, a strip of land now forming part of the new junction at the western end of La Rue de Haut de L’Orme which strip of land shall at the time of the statutory transfer be incorporated into the main road designated A9 and known as La Grande Route de St Jean
It is to be noted that the Parish costs arising from the transactions above will be met by the applicant for the planning application which required the road widening.
Other related transactions involving parties other than the Parish will also be passed before the Royal Court:
- to receive an update on plans to extend the Parish Hall Offices
- to present King’s Coronation medals to certain members of the Honorary Police
Copies of the previous minutes to be approved will be available in draft from the Parish Hall, during office hours, from 9am on Monday 9 December 2024, and immediately prior to the Assembly on Thursday 12 December 2024.
