Draft Shoreline Management Plan

Produced by the Climate Emergency (Infrastructure and Environment)
Authored by Aecom / Government of Jersey and published on 05 Jul 2019
Cost: £278,224.00

Summary

Jersey’s high tidal range means that we face the risk of flooding during storm surges and spring tides. Our coastal defences are well maintained, but we need to adapt to become more resilient to the long-term effects of a changing climate and rising sea levels.

The Government of Jersey’s draft Shoreline Management Plan aims to ensure that our coastal defences continue to protect our island over the next 100 years.

Between July and September 2019 we will be carrying out a public consultation on the draft plan. We want you to tell us what you think about the draft Shoreline Management Plan.

The public consultation opened on Friday 5 July 2019 and will close on 27 September 2019.

The final report will be published in November 2019.
