Gluten-free subsidy

​How to apply for the subsidy

You need to complete a gluten-free application form. You will also need to ask your doctor to fill in the relevant sections of the form.

You can get the form in person from the reception at Social Security, or you can call us and we will send you a form in the post.

The approval of your application will be based on medical grounds.

How ​the subsidy is provided

We will send you voucher books every four weeks. The vouchers must be used to buy essential gluten-free foods.

Change in your circumstances​

Once you are receiving this subsidy, you must inform us if you:

  • change address
  • leave the island permanently
  • no longer require a gluten-free diet
