Effie specialises in haematology, blood malignancies (haemato oncology), cell therapies, personalised medicine, blood sciences and diagnostics.

Effie’s other interests and expertise includes medical leadership, strategy, organisational development and health policy, technology transfer for clinical use.

Training

Effie has studied and worked in preeminent institutions in the UK, Europe, the USA and the Middle East.

She has over 25 years of international experience with knowledge of the landscape in science, medicine, research, regulatory and service development in her field. She has over 15 years of experience in medical leadership roles with proven success in team, services and organisational development, change management and quality improvement for the NHS, governmental, corporate and charitable organisations.

With her research and publication of her original work she has contributed to science, business development and practice of medicine internationally.

Effie joined Jersey General Hospital in 2018 from King’s College Hospital in London. She is an Associate Professor in Medicine Haematology and Associate Medical Director Scheduled and Tertiary Care for the Government of Jersey.
