Chartered Physiotherapists help you following an injury, illness, disability or a surgical procedure. They provide advice and use movement, exercise and manual therapy to help you recover.

Coast Physiotherapy provide a service for the private patient unit 7 days a week. They have an experienced team of physiotherapists to cover patient needs. They work with your consultant and nursing staff to provide the best care for your condition.

Physiotherapy charges

Inpatient physiotherapy sessions may be deemed an essential part of your recovery, as advised by your consultant. The cost per session will be itemised on your invoice. The length of treatment and number of sessions required will depend on your needs.

Insured patients

For insured patients, please check your policy. Your insurer may limit the number of outpatient physiotherapy sessions, based on the number of sessions you receive as an inpatient.

Outpatient treatment

For certain conditions, outpatient treatment may be required. Please note, it is your responsibility to organise your follow up outpatient physiotherapy. It is advisable to arrange this before your operation, to ensure continuity of care post discharge.

Invoices

Invoices are raised by the hospital's Private Patient Finance Office for inpatient physiotherapy sessions provided by Coast Physiotherapy. If you are insured, we will send the invoice direct to your insurance company. You will need a pre-authorisation number if you have private medical insurance. If you are paying for your physiotherapy sessions, you will receive invoices direct. Payment terms are 30 days.
