Ivan Muscat is based within Jersey General Hospital’s Pathology Laboratory.

Specialty

Ivan specialises in microbiology and virology, infection/infectious disease and infection prevention and control.

Additional interests include genito-urinary medicine.

Training

Ivan carried out his undergraduate training at the University of Malta and Newcastle University.

His postgraduate training was undertaken at the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh, Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, Royal London Hospital and University of Liverpool.

He leads on genito-urinary medicine and is Associate Medical Director for infection at Jersey General Hospital.
